Windows Messenger singing in automatically

Hey guys. I have Windows Messenger on my new computer. Unlike MSN Messenger, it signs me in automatically whenever I open it, even if I have the check box unchecked that says to remember me. What should I do to prevent this? I want to be given the sign-in dialogue box when I open the program instead of it signing in automatically when I open it. Thanks for the help!

Hi Leaf,

Go to the Control Panel off your start menu. If you're using the classic start menu, this is inside the settings menu. Choose user accounts. Click "Change an Account." Select the account you want to change. Turn on your virtual cursor by pressing insert-Z if you are using JAWS, or turn on MSAA mode by pressing Shift-Insert-A if you're using Window-Eyes. Near the top of the page, under related tasks is a link called "Manage my Network Passwords." Click it. A dialog box will appear listing all the Passport accounts you sign in with under this Windows account. Select each account from the list and click the Remove button. If you delete all the accounts, Windows Messenger shouldn't be able to sign in automatically anymore. Also, in Outlook and Outlook Express, choose Options under the Tools menu. On the general tab, make sure the check box is cleared that says "automatically sign into Windows Messenger when I sign on." Write back if you need any more help. Good luck.
